Hi everyone I am new to IndiaMike so I am unsure if this has all ready been asked, but I will be moving to Delhi in a month from the US with my children. My partner and I would like to stay in South Delhi rather than Gurgaon, but its still an option. He is from India but new to Delhi. We are trying to find good expat locations/colony's. I would like to find a 3 bedroom for about 35-40,000ish. School and work will not be an issue. I am a online home school teacher so traveling to "work: is no issue. Saket and Vasant Kunj were recommended... places with in a reasonable distance to Sikandarpur Metro Station are ideal but any good expat location in South Delhi or Gurgaon would be very much appreciated.

Thank you. Do you know of any other areas near there or what the power/water situation is like in general?

Been staying in Vasant Kunj for last 10 years, power is not a issue.Water is a slight problem, but the biggest issue is parking,as there are no designated parking spaces for residents.
Vasant Vihar is a more upmarket location nearby but you would have to shell out a lot more for 3 BHK.Saket would be as expensive as Vasant Kunj.

What do you mean by expat area ? Where do you currently stay in the US ? City or suburbs ? Have you seen and/or been to parts of South Delhi ? It is a vast area. A decent 3 Bed second floor place in a bungalore-style house in VV is now at 100,000/mnt. Ground floor with parking garage higher.
