Hello everyone. I have school-aged children and am concerned about the levels of air pollution in Delhi.

Can you tell me some of the ways you deal with the pollution, especially as it relates to children?

The air in delhi nowadays is bad, really really bad, and things show no signs of improving.

I'd recommend getting an air purifier for your house. There are a bunch of article online on how to maximise their efficacy- (tightly shut windows etc). One can also purchase vog masks. http://www.vogmask.com

The worst months are November December and January. When the air is relatively still and the entire city is covered in a blanket of smog.

If on FB join the group "Air Quality in Delhi"- many discussions there.

Adding to what BB said, get a HEPA air filter and avoid the cheaper ionizer.

There is no getting away from pollution, so your best bet is diet. Lots of Vitamin C through citrus fruits, Guava, fresh Amla juice and so on will go a long way in reducing negative effects of air pollution.

Fresh Amla alone is enough, the advantage with Amla is that most of it is without pesticides or any chemicals unlike other fruits.
If you find my posts confrontationist, please bear, I am an old frustrated guy who has nothing better to do than sit on rocking chair and curse the world whole day
