Hi, I am contemplating moving to Delhi. I would like to live in close proximity to the wonderful street food lanes (kebabs, chaat, parathas etc.).

Please make some recommendations. I heard Old Delhi is the ideal location for this.

I prefer an upscale area but don't really mind middle class/crowded neighborhoods either as long as I get a cozy apartment with thick walls and AC, and fast internet.

I am brown Indian and speak Hindi very fluently.

I am also open to living in a motel in such an area.

Proximity to a gym and swimming pool would be perfect. A safe place to drink at with good music will be the icing on the cake. But not required as much as the food and swimming pool.

Really appreciate the help. I can trade info for Mumbai.

Motel? Is there such a thing in India? I've never heard of or seen a motel in 20 years in India.
