I have some OLD 100 rupee notes are these still in circulation?

Well if he had say 500 of these notes then he can't use them he would need to goto a bank and change them. If he has about 15-20 he can just use em a few at a time and they would run through the system to the RBI on their own.

How many trillions would you like? I have quite a few spare.

(Oh, but we knocked off 12 zeros and prior to that 10 zeros and before that 3 <blush> and now we're onto hundreds only. The biggest note being Z$500 - which in real terms is Z$500 + 25 zeros. WHEW.

Yup but they are being phased out. So if you say went to make a payment of 100, 000 in cash to someone with those notes in Delhi, they would request that you get them changed from the bank and get New Notes because of the phase out .. preferably 1000's easier to stash in their pillows
