Here is my itinerary. @Karikar/@Kishore let me know if any modification require?

24th SEPT- Reach Guwahati from kolkata. Proceed to MaplePine farm

25th - Morning proceed to Mawlyngbna. Sightseeing at Mawlyngbna and Lawbah. Halt MaplePine farm

26th - Morning proceed to Sohra. Sohra sightseeing. Halt at Kutmadan Resort.

27 th - Day trek to Double Decker Living Roots Bridge at Nongriat. Halt at Kutmadan Resort.

28th- Day trip to Shnongpdeng, Dawki, Byrdaw falls, Mawlynnong and Riwai. Proceed to Shillong. Halt

29th - Shillong sightseeing including Syntung, Mawlyngngot, Laitlum, Sweet Falls, Halt -Shillong.

30th- Morning proceed to Umiam Lake, Umden silk village and Marngar lake. Halt Orchid lake resort

1stOCT- Guwahati- -Catch Train

2nd OCT - KOLKATA

28th is probably too hectic. Consider a stay in Mawlynnong.

If you don't stay in Mawlynnong also, you can think of Shnongpdeng

Regarding Shnongpdeng, be advised that the sign board for the village road to Darrang that takes you to Shnongpdeng is disturbed-- the "D" of Darrang is erased and now it reads "arrang".

30th you can stay in Umden itself, rather than coming back to Umiam.

Hi All..

Me along with my 2 friends are planning for a trip to Meghalaya in December. I have no idea about this part of the country although I live in kolkata. But I never went to Assam and beyond, so don' t have any idea about the places.

It would by really helpful if the experts can help me build up my itinerary.
My basic plan is :
9/12/2016: Board Saraighat Express
10/12/2016: Reach Guwahati in the morning and travel to Shillong same day.


17/12/2016: Board Kol Garib Rath from Guwahati
18/12/2016: Reach Kolkata

So we have 6 full day for exploration. Please advice me the places that are must to stay.

Planning a trip to Meghalaya next month and am stuck at the last mile now. All bookings done, except stay in Shnongpdeng. after some effort was able to locate the trip, where i caught this bug...

Would you happen to have the contact number of Manbha, so I can sort this as well. I read, that you went unbooked, but i am likely to reach shnongpdeng after dark and scared to reach there unannounced.
