Dear All,
I am planning for a 5 day family trip of meghalaya from delhi in mid of august. Following are my concerns:
1. Will it be good to visit the place in monsoon?
2. Will it be good to visit with a 2.5 year old toddler?
3. What will be the temperature during these dates?
4. Is there so much travelling involved during transportation from Guwahati- Shillong-Cherapunji and back to guwahati or it will be a relaxing itinerary?

Experienced persons may please guide on above points.

Thanks in Advance.

Kavita,

If you want to experience rains, then nothing like visiting in August. Not that it will be raining all the time. Atleast the falls will be in full flow.
Temp will be 25-26 max and 18-19 min.

As for the itinerary, it all depends on what sort of plans you have in mind.

By the way, I dont understand by what you meant when you said, is there so much travelling involved during transportation, what exactly do you mean to say?

Thanks

Thanks for your reply. Actually I am concerned about my son.. Whether it will be ok to plan for meghalaya with the little one in this season or it will be a hectic one. Will we get time for relaxing or most of the time will spent in journey?

For 4 nights, you can do 1 night in Mawphlang, 1 night is Sohra, 1 night in Mawlynnong and last night in Shillong.

Thanks karikor,
Can you suggest few things:
1. Should we cover Guwahati on first day or on last day?
2. We should travel one place to other in the night or early morning?
3. Will there be any benefit if we reschedule our flight to 10 august evening. In that case we will be reaching Guwahati around 7 in the evening.
