We will be in Shillong from 4th of Feb to 18th of Feb on a Official trip.

We will have 3 full free days on 5th Feb, 11th Feb and 12th Feb.

Need a program for these 3 days. Will be based in Shillong (3 adults all males in 40's age group.

We had Chirapunjee and Khaziranga in mind, but open to all options.

Also pl indicate as to whether there are tour operators for the programs being suggested.

Regarding food for the entire 2 weeks that we will be there, are there any economical options for South Indian food or any Bhojanalaya type of joints etc. Or do we need to carry any home made items to over there.

Are there any security concerns in Shillong?

Would be greatful if we can get as much details as possible.

Thanks in advance.

Also please give an idea on the weather during this point of time. Do we need to carry extra clothes for cold etc.

Hi,
There are lots of things to do in Shillong! The Don Bosco museum is extremely interesting. The Archery stakes are a great place to spend an afternoon. Ward's Lake is a good place for a stroll. In the evenings, lots of musical events happening in town.

Security? People tend to close their shops at nightfall. I did not notice any security concerns whatsoever.

Main difficulty in Shillong is the terrible traffic. Bumper to bumper cars are the norm. So if you want to avoid sitting in a traffic jam, better to stay in town. But if you want a quiet stay, better to stay out of town. That is a problem!

What is your budget for accommodation?
