Hi,

I (An Indian National by Birth and working in a private firm) have got married to a Bangladeshi Girl in Dec 2009 who was in a Tourist Visa at that time. After that we got registered our marriage under "Hindu Marriage Act" and got the Notarial certificate on the marriage from court. Now she is living with me ( After registering in FRO and receiving resident permit from FRO )and studying in an Indian College for last 3 years under Student Visa (as when I approached to apply for her Indian citizenship the officials said that if she applies for Indian citizenship now then she will not be able to study in India as to study she needs Student Visa). Her education will complete in June,2012 and visa is valid till Oct,2012.

I would like to get expert opinion/ opinion from people who have gone through similar cases as to how I can proceed from here onwards to get her an Indian passport quickly as I intent to take her abroad when I am traveling abroad for official purpose. Please suggest the route that you perceive to be best which will address the issues like

1. Getting her Indian Citizenship
2. Accompanying me in my Official Travel
3. Allowing her to work in India after her completion of studies( I Didn't go for PIO after seeing that PIO for Bangladeshies are not feasible).

Thanks,
Pranta

1. Not easy and not quick. So get X visa (if she does NOT want to work) or E visa ( if she wants to work, however the requirements of X visa are very strict)

2. She can travel with you as your spouse and still be an Bangladeshi citizen (i.e hold Bangladeshi Passport). Its not mandatory for a spouse to be of the same nationality.

3. See 1 above.

Hi Narendra
I dont know the scenario. She has already Japan VISA.She has valid stay permit for India for one year.In Order to travel from India any country she required permission.
As my experience let me share I got married in 2009.Then she just complete her MBBS.Then for Internship she had to Bangladesh. For this has to take return visa from HOME FNI dept from of Govt of Westbengal. They allow only 3 months to stay in Bangladesh. In this way she finished her internship. Now when i asked to Same office in Kolkata they said that u dont have authority give permission to her for Japan except Bangladesh. They refer to Delhi MHA foreign division.I try to contact them via mail and phone but did any response so that i can proceed they refer to again Stat lebel. So i am in loop one kind.
Actually i need the proper channel how to proceed for that.If anybody can help us it would be great.
Hi Pranta
Thanks dear please let me know i also keep you update on this.

Why does she need permission to visit Japan or any other country?
Can you tell us what Visa she is here on? As spouse of an Indian she is entitled to an X visa.

And please stop posting the same query all over the forum in various threads. You as well as any one responding will get confused.
