Hi

I am due to go to Goa in February 2013, as Goa is my favourite place and some special memories my partner and I would very much like to get married there. We are only there for 2 weeks, is it possible? Any advice/help will be gratefully received.

Get married in the U.K and exchange/renew your vows in Goa.

nycank is right. Don't try to get your paperwork done in Goa. It will dog you for years.

And google the couple who did some kind of remarriage ceremony in the Maldives with their hotel people doing what the tourists thought was a traditional ceremony. When they posted the video online they discovered the local staff were intoning jokes about these foreign infidels and their filthy habits!

Why not get married in your own culture with your own friends and family? Isn't that what a wedding is supposed to be about?
