Hotel near Railway Station at Satara
Dear Folks of IM,
We are a couple with our 2yr kid travelling to Mahabaleshwar in the 2nd week of November. We've booked a ticket on a train from Bangalore to Satara.
Unfortunately we'll be reaching Satara by 23:05 only.
What are our options?
- Is there a retiring room in the railway station? Our research says no
- Is there a hotel that is walkable from the railway station?
- Is there a way to travel to Mahabaleswar that late?

The hustle bustle of satara city is near ST Stand. Take a Rickshaw to ST Stand (2-3kms). Lots of hotels there.

Hampi + Tarkarli + Kolhapur + Kaas + Sajjangad + Lohagad + Palasdhari waterfall + Aurangabad + Mahabaleshwar + Shimla + Manali + Harihareshwar & Diveagar! Am I too late here? The train station is not 2-3 kms from the bus station. Satara is a very small town so do not expect too many things to be working at midnight.

Bike rides - Kashmir to Leh and Sikkim, Jungle safaris - Corbett,Chikhaldara, Kanha and Gorumara. Traveled through MP, Himachal, J&K, Maharashtra, W.Bengal, Sikkim, Uttarakhand, Goa, Karnataka, AP . . . Yet feel so New to traveling in India.
