Hello fellow travelers!

I will be traveling to India first time in january 2016. In february I will attend a month long YTT course near Nasik. I would love to take a week or two before my course to do some trekking in area's nature.

I have been reading about all wonderful forts, treks, The Sahyadris and Western Ghats, but I can't really find any information about multiple day treks.

Ideally, I'd like to do a week/10 day trek, with possibility to sleep and eat in villages I would be passing. Or camping even.

I will be traveling with a friend, but we would happily join a group, or find a forum where people get together and plan a trek.

Please let me know if you have any leads, advices, information, or if you have done or planning to do a trek similar.

Thank a lot!

I doubt if there are multi day treks in Maharashtra.

Since you are in Nasik you could try Kalsubai (tallest peak in Maharastra) and treks near Trimbakeshwar.

Here's a 4 day one covering two of the most famous forts -

However, I'd recommend a Konkan beach trek instead - the south isn't really mountain territory.
