Imagica theme park is a must visit place for adventure ride lovers. I would like to write this review for those who are looking for one-day time saving budget trip to Imagica; who is having good physical fitness to walk; willing to use public transport system and done some homework for trip plan. If you are looking for lavish and extravagant trip this review may be less useful to you.

Date of Visit Monday 19 March, 2018

We chose to drop down at Karjat station, which is central line live station where approx. 39 long distance trains stops for 2 min daily. From Karjat every hour local train runs to Khopoli. Karjat to Khopoli via local train (10 Rs per person) takes around 20 min time. The Imagica theme park is easily accessible from Khopoli (10 km distance) via local bus transportation (10 Rs per person, approx. 35 min time) as well as auto rickshaw (50 Rs per person, sharing bases, approx. 25 min time). From Khopoli local train station the Khopoli bus station is nearly 700 meter away and can be easily reached by walk. We picked bus around 8 am to Imagica. Try to reach Theme Park by 9.30 to utilize maximum time for rides. Tickets price were 1299 + tax (~28%) for regular days and 999 + tax for offer days for theme park at time of our visit. Weekend prices are bit elevated. Even for online booking one has to be in a queue to get entry pass as well as bands. This whole process may take around 30 min, depending on rush. After ride safety check couple time, park operation starts around 11 am. If you have purchase photographer service, which sounds good (250 per person in offer) one can take as many click as they want at specified locations. At entrance, you have to contact photographers and get your coupons. I felt camera quality was reasonable so as the photography skills of photographer.

Without spending time, one can rush to main attractions 1. Nitro (Tallest Roller Coaster) 2. Scream Machine (Pendulum) 3. Dare Drop (Vertical Drop) 4. Gold Rush Express (Roller Coaster) 5. Deep Space Ride. Since these rides are fast motion rides, one should avoid going with filled stomach. Try to finish these rides before 1 pm and go for meals. For live status of rides and timings one can use Imagica app in smart phones. Food is bit expensive with respect to quality offered (outside food is not allowed inside the park). In remaining day, other attractions can be covered provided you are visiting on regular day. On offer day there are less chances one can visit all rides due to long queue.

Some general observations: To visit park you should be in you optimal physical fitness, it is a whole day rush. Park is quite big and whole day waking may drain lot of water and energy. Have a big hat and goggles with you, which may help to beat the heat in summers. Many Ice cream vendors are in park and it is good way to get energized and stay cool by avoiding extra heavy full course meals and have light food with couple of ice-creams. Carry (empty) water bottle with you inside the park (which is allowed) to save money, which you might spend for packed water bottles. Few water-refilling stations (water coolers) are there to serve water without charges. They are located near rest rooms. If you have small kids; higher chances that you will get frustrated, since nothing much for young kids. Worth to watch entertainment Parade around 6 pm. Before leaving, if you have hired photography service please share your photo coupons at photo store so that they can upload images on server and an later you can download snaps at your convenience within 15 days of period.

End of the day one can hire the auto rickshaw to khopoli railway station and get local train to Mumbai CST or Karjat (Preferably before 8 pm). Numerous accommodation options available at Khopoli also if one would like to spend night at Khopoli. Overall its worth of money if you are visiting on regular days. On offer day, probably you would get fed-up either by standing in long queue or ending with spending more money by purchasing express tickets on spot. Over all wonderful experience, I would recommend to visit once.

Disclaimer: Above-mentioned review is unbiased and based on my observations. Kindly do not take as granted that it will give you same level of comfort and enjoyment following above guidelines. Do your research and enjoy your trip.

Thanks for the review. I have been to Imagica too and can vouch that it is one of the better amusement parks in India. However, nothing much in comparison to the other parks across the world of course.
