Lovely ... amazing ... wonderful report...
Perhaps.. it seems money was the only thing in his mind . If he had not assured me earlier , i would have made other arrangement . But standing at the door at 8:00PM on a cold night after 10 hr drive is another thing.
He also didn't speak to me directly , he spoke in ladakhi to sonam. Given his generous rating in Tripadvisor , I guess he is earning his fare share of bread .
Anyways , that incident is behind me , I am just sharing what happened with me.

From the scrap Book :The Planning process

Sharing some Information here , which might help future travelers :

My date of Journey was : 8th -15th Nov-15
Mercury reading of places we visited :
Leh : Daytime- Cold ( 4-15 degree centigrade) , comfortable with normal jackets ,we got mostly sunny days , night time much colder , heater not required.
Nubra : Less colder than Leh . Daytime :15-20 degrees , comfortable with light woolen bright sunny days , night cold, heater not required.
Turtuk : Daytime comfortable with light woolen , bright sunny days.
Tangste : Daytime colder , night very cold , Heater required
Pangyong: Daytime colder & windy ; Heavy jackets with protection for neck and cap , Gloomy, cloudy ,light snowfall . Night will definitely be bitter cold.
Hanle : Daytime comfortable with normal jackets, sunny day , night time bitter cold and windy , Heater required.
Tsomoriri : Daytime cold & windy , jacket with cap, bright sunny day.

Conclusion : November will be a much delayed trip, though it can be done
but if you want to be in off-season, September end or October early would be the ideal time as per my opinion.

Suggested Drivers :
1) Karma Sonam: I can personally vouch for him . Wonderful person , he knows the routes very well . He is a Tibetan , very religious, humble, helpful. His phone numbers are :09419215110 (bsNL postpaid) , 09906991011 (Airtel prepaid). His email id is karmasonam947@gmail.com. He speaks both in English and Hindi nicely. He also quoted me the lowest. He owns a xylo. This is him :

Hotels for staying ( November period) : I had difficulty in searching for stay options because of late season. So, I am listing down options which were available , may be helpful to others.

In ladakh, taxi rate is very high . My driver gave me 15 % discount on union rate , I didn't bargain much . It cost me 35000/- from airport to airport drop. The hotel cost I have already given , I couldn't negotiate much as I have changed itinerary at last moment . My previous itinerary was fixed at 28000/-.
