I have been planning to visit Leh from the past one year. I had plans to visit Leh last year but had to cancel it for some personal reasons. But this time i am even more eager to visit the heaven on earth. I have done extensive reading about these places as i am quite desperate to visit there.

I am traveling alone as all of my friends took a back step when they saw Srinagar and Kargil in my itinerary. But I want to go there and would be more than happy if someone else is willing to join me for the trip.

I have attached my plans for the trip. It can get changed during the trip as this part of the world always has something to surprise you.

please let me know if anyone is interested in joining me.

Could you post the plan in the message itself? That would probably find more readers than an attachment.

Not really... As the first day is Sunday i cannot get the permission for PanganTso and Nubra on that day... Next day (second day in Leh) I am planning to get the permits and if i get it early then i am planning to start to pangangtso that day itself... It is more of a buffer day in case of any problems....

Hi,

I am sorry for the late reply. Yes. I had been to ladakh last year. It did not go according to the plan exactly because of bad weather but I had great time there.

In my initial plan I had planned to visit Zanskar valley. I could not go there because the road was not open. In fact, I was lucky enough to come back by road from leh tto manali. That road got opened just a day before and our taxi was the first one carrying passengers to go from Leh to Manali.

You plan such that you start from srinagar side and end at Manali. That way is really ideal. You wont feel AMS. You might have little problems problems on your first day in Leh but Leh is too beautiful to let you feel that. Make sure that you spend lot of time in Leh just relaxing. It is a beautiful place. Pangong and Nubra valley is worth a visit. You will find accommodation at both places easily. Do not worry about that. I traveled to botht these places in public trasport (JKSRTC). It was really fun traveling with locals knowing more about them. Try to do the same. They are really nice people. They will make sure that you have good stay/food at both these places.

For anything more, feel free to write back. My replies might be a day delayed as I am in the middle of my masters in Sweden.

Enjoy!!
