I am departing from Leh on june 15 for Manali by road and have already booked everything. I just want to know what the current status is? Is the weather better or worse than usual? Will the road be open at that time?
Thank You

June 15 seems ok. There is less snow this year on Rohtang Pass. And BRO men
have started clearing snow in first week of April. But there's more snow
(50 cms) this week. for latest info

Is July first or second week a good time for leh via manali ? what abt the rainfall. someone told me rain might spoil the game in july. any experiences or information ? secondly can anyone gimme the options i have from manali ? i have heard that u cannot get ur vehicle cos its not allowed on the highway and only their jeeps/SUVs are allowed. We r on a shoestring budget and dont think that we would be able to afford a Qualis both ways. Some1 told me its around 10-12 k manali-leh side per sumo for 2 days. That wil boil down to 6k per person on this only. what r the alternative ways ?

Rain may not be big problem once you have crossed Rohtang Pass. But you never know the rains in monsoon. Last year it was floods in Beas river in Kullu. Who said your private vehicle is not allowed on highway?

You are allowed to drive your two wheeler/four wheeler/truck etc. without any restriction, but make sure an experienced person in hill driving drives your vehicle.
