Great!! Thanks boss!! With words of yours and @prodhar, I feel much more confident now

Based on my experience of travel to Kashmir in March 2014 and Ladakh in Sept 2017, 14N/15D will be a little tight to cover Kashmir and Ladakh. But it's possible and please do

Well with all the details available here and there, I have prepared the below itinerary. Can you please validate whether it's practically possible without any issues and rushing through it everyday?

Day 1 : Arrival at Srinagar. Stay at Houseboat. Local sightseeing (Dal Lake, Mughal Gardens, Shalimar Bagh, Chasmesahi, Nishaat Bagh, Nagin Lake, Char Chinar, Hazratbal etc.)

Day 2 : Srinagar to Pahalgam via Avantipura Ruins, Apple Orchards. Afternoon Trek/Pony ride to Baisaran

Day 3 : Pahalgam Sightseeing (Visit Betaab Valley, Aru, Chandanwadi). Post lunch move to Gulmarg

Day 4 : Gulmarg - Gondola ride. Enjoy snow. Post lunch move to Sonmarg

Day 5 : Sonmarg to Kargil. Enjoy the journey through Zojila Pass. Visit Drass War Memorial

Day 6 : Kargil To Leh (via Lamayuru). Enroute visit Lamayuru, Alchi Sangam (Confluence of Indus & Zanskar river), Magnetic hill (Defines gravity), Uleytokpo and 3 Idiots School.

Day 7 : Leh Sightseeing (Indus Valley Monastery of Shey, Thiksey, Hemis Monastery and Stok Palace.

Day 8 : Leh To Nubra Valley via Khardongla Pass (the highest motorable road in the world) at 18,390 ft. Visit Sumoor, another pretty village on the other side of the river, Samstan Ling Monastery.

Day 9 : Nubra Valley To Pangong Lake via Changla Pass.

Day 10 : Pangong To Tso Moriri

Day 11 : Tso Moriri To Jipsa

Day 12 : Jipsa To Manali via Keylong

Day 13 : Manali Sightseeing

Day 14 : Manali - Delhi.

Day 15 : Delhi - Kolkata

I'm planning to attempt this next year!! I'm a budget traveller as you already know (might be :P). So date is not fixed. I'm flexible here. Heard that June / July is best season to visit however prices are high during that period. So I can easily shift it to September (as advised by prodhar above).

When are you planning to visit? We can merge and opt for a bigger vehicle and save the main cost!!

Ha ha . I'm planning an August visit next year. The 2017 Sept plan got cancelled. Anyway , for budget travellers , like me if I may add, Sept is quite perfect. But drop the Kashmir valley please, and add days to Ladakh , also add places like Hanle. The rewards would be great, most probably. One Sept shot here , I loved the clouds

As I said we are flexible.

Then can you please come up with a perfect itinerary as you have already been there!!

Yes we can drop Kashmir, but then we need to find time again to visit Kashmir or I need to go back to my Manager for more leaves which is hard to convince after 2 Weeks long leave :P

In my opinion Kashmir valley warrants at least 3 visits , during spring , winter and autumn . Suit yourself . The problem of clubbing Kashmir with Ladakh in a two weeks plan is that one is travelling almost everyday. So one is getting tired , missing the beautiful hours of early mornings and late evenings in preparing for the journey or checking in/looking for the next stay, and eventually one starts collecting places instead of experiencing them, forget interacting with interesting people. In my book that's a no no. Now at the end of it all it's your call :-)

Okay!! I got your point and appriciate the same.

And I do agree with you as travelling for me is not for ticking out places off my list. Insetad I like to embrace the nature without making it too leisurely.

However I do not like to rush through the destination too just to come back and brag about the same to people out there!!

So please, come up with a itinerary that you think would be feasible and we can merge together!!

If you are interested, (it'd be actually an honour to travel with you), let's take this on PM. We can share our Mail Id's and get started planning the trip

But please don't skip the points you have already visited, as this would be our first time to Leh - Ladakh

I would suggest sonmarg - Lamyuru -leh 2 - nubra 2 - pangong - Hanle - tso moriri - tso kar- keylong - Manali - del . Even then it's tight. It would have been great if I could join you. But our Aug trip is finalized. So perhaps next time. It would be a great pleasure. Don't miss Hanle. Cover turtuk and around from Nubra on second day.

Enjoying a great conversation!

So you have to firm up your mind of making separate visits to Kashmir and Ladahk., and try to convince your Manager for leave.

Possibility of enjoying snow is thinner or nil in September

Day 6 : Kargil To Leh (via Lamayuru). Enroute visit Lamayuru, Alchi Sangam (Confluence of Indus & Zanskar river), Magnetic hill (Defines gravity), Uleytokpo and 3 Idiots School.

Rancho's school will fall in the other which you can cover in your day 7 plan

Day 9 : Nubra Valley To Pangong Lake via Changla Pass.

You need to decide whether you will come from Nubra to Pangong through Wari La or Shayok river bed. Shayok route gives more pleasant view but in that case you have to give ChangLa a miss.
Agree with Somnath that Turtuk and Hanle shouldn't be missed anyway once somebody is visiting Ladakh for 15 days. Even the Kashmir point that he has mentioned is equally important.

Without going to the Nitti gritty, the only tweaking I can suggest in your plan covering Kashmir & Ladakh is to add Hanle:

Day 9 : Nubra Valley To Pangong Lake via Agam Shayok

Day 10 : Pangong To Hanle via Man Merak Chusul Loma

Day 11 : Hanle to Tso Moriri via Loma Nyoma Mahe

Day 12 : Tso Moriri To Jipsa covering Tso Kar

Day 13 : Jipsa To Manali via Keylong

Day 14 : (Manali Sightseeing in the morning.) Manali – Delhi by Volvo in the evening.

Day 15: Reach Delhi late morning. Delhi – Kolkata

The above assumes that after visiting Kashmir and Ladakh, you may skip Manali site seeing. The disadvantage is that you will be travelling not most of the days but all the days. Other than Srinagar and Leh, everywhere it is one night. And the above planning do not have any spare day.
