Has anybody visited from Kolkata to Leh by direct connecting flight of GO AIR as shown below as per their website:-

DEPARTURE ARRIVAL
G8 227 KOLKATA 05:30 DELHI 07:45
G8 221 DELHI 09:25 LEH 10.50

1 Stop
total journey time 5h 20m

My queries are:-
1) is the flight schedule ok (I mean does it allow sufficient buffer time to catch connecting flight at Delhi)?
2) Are the flights to Leh operated throughout the year & day (What about winter or evening timings)?
3) If there is any better option to fly to Leh from Kolkata (not tiring one) please suggest. I prefer to go to Leh from Kolkata by day flights.

I AM NOT A FLIGHT TRAVELLER SO ASKING THESE QUESTIONS, SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME

THANKS IN ADVANCE

I just checked on the Go Air website. They are offering this connection so they think the transfer time is enough. I presume you will have checked baggage as no hand baggage is allowed on flights to J&K (or is that just Srinagar?).

See https://www.ixigo.com/search/result/...02017//1/0/0/e

The Go Air one seems to be the quickest.

Thanks @Golghar & @ Aarosh for your feedback.
About the GO air flight detail detail given in goibibo website
https://www.goibibo.com/flights/kolkata-to-leh-flights/
indicates the journey from Delhi to Leh is on next day
So journey time is 29hrs 20 minutes
Which one is correct?
If it is on the same day will it be feasable to catch flight from Delhi if it leaves from a different terminal?

GoAir flights operate from Terminal 1.

Terminal 1-C is used for domestic arrivals, and Terminal 1-D is used for departures of GoAir flights. You will have sufficient time for reaching the Terminal.

Referenced flights will operate on the same day and journey time would be distributed during the same morning...

Aarosh's link gives a flight which has go air planes on both the legs of the journey.

Here is a google confirmation of the same.

With the same airline, you don't have to bother about your check in luggage at Delhi, it will get to Leh directly.
Also if the pnr is the same (as in this case) - then it becomes the airlines responsibility to get you to Leh, even if the previous flight is slightly delayed. So you will definitely get your next flight.

Hand luggage is allowed Delhi - Leh, I have never been stopped for this and I havent seen anyone else suffer except idiots who insist on taking a sofa with them.

Yes its Go's responsibility to get the luggage on to the connecting flight, no, it doesnt always work, but the problem is worse on international to domestic transfers, there shouldnt be a problem domestic to domestic.

I have found Go to be the best for reliability on the Delhi - Leh sector. I havent used Indian Airlines for years but it was legendarily bad when I did. Jet is not as good as it was, sometimes delayed and they have combined two flights into one on a couple of occasions with resulting chaos. The good thing about Go is that it often has 3 flights a day so if you or the luggage miss one then there is one later

Dont worry

Thanks a lot @captain bruce
It seems you have done many connecting flight trips in this route and have not faced any problem as far as GO AIR is concerned.
