hi all,
I am going to manali from delhi on first week of january with my gf.
Can I get some suggestioms on :

1. Any good hotels to stay at , also since January is off season can i expect some discount in those hotels?

2. Any scenic and adventurous places to visit there we are staying there for 3 days.

3. We are going by hptdc volvo ac bus, are these bus semi sleeper?
4. Also are the hptdc buses usually on time or should i expect alot of delays in january first week?
5. My gf has to catch a flight when returning from manali to delhi at 1pm . Will we get to delhi comfortably by 9 or 9 :30 am taking any unexpected delays into consideration by bus?

6. I tried to find out whether we can do paragliding in january but i got mixed or no results. Does anyone know if we can paraglide?

7. Also i read on several sites that there are alot of non certified freelancers whom we should avoid when looking for paraglidin agents as it is very risky to fly with them and accidents can happen.

Do u guys know any well known certified agency /agents whom i should approach for paragliding there?

8. We plan to either rent bikes or car for local travelling there. any recommendations and price?

9, Any other adventurous activities apart from skiing and paragliding there ?

Thanks

You should get discount as jan is totally off season...

2. Any scenic and adventurous places to visit there we are staying there for 3 days.

Solang valley can be an option for skiing ...But depends wheather the route is open at that time or not...

3. We are going by hptdc volvo ac bus, are these bus semi sleeper?

No they are not proper semi sleeper ...Just a push back seat with around 135deg inclination at max...

4. Also are the hptdc buses usually on time or should i expect alot of delays in january first week?

We took the bus from manali at 5pm this Oct... The bus reached Delhi at 9am...In Jan there will be fog so expect another 2/3 hours delay...

5. My gf has to catch a flight when returning from manali to delhi at 1pm .

If you are lucky enough you can reach by 9 else take it around 11 as there will be fog at night...

6. I tried to find out whether we can do paragliding in january but i got mixed or no results. Does anyone know if we can paraglide?

Probably you will not get a chance for paragliding as usually it starts around marhi on the wy to rothang & the route to rothng will be closed...But if you can reach marhi you can do a short paragilding adventure...

7. Also i read on several sites that there are alot of non certified freelancers whom we should avoid when looking for paraglidin agents as it is very risky to fly with them and accidents can happen.

yes there are lots of them...You are staying there for 3 days just do some search work there that will be enough to find the right one for you...

Do u guys know any well known certified agency /agents whom i should approach for paragliding there?

Other Imers could help you on this...

8. We plan to either rent bikes or car for local travelling there. any recommendations and price?

there are many bike renters in manali near mall road...Full day bike rent for 10 hours will charge you around 1500 in oct...Now as this is Off season you might get some discounts there...

9, Any other adventurous activities apart from skiing and paragliding there ?

Rafting is another option but that will remain close at january...
Thanks
happy travelling...
