Refer to HRTC site. From ISBT 43, you will get buses as early as 5. And then throughout the day. Private iperators are not reliable. HRTC Internet advance booking can also be done 4 or 5 hours prior to bus departure.

Chandigarh to Aut = 8-10 hours

Chandigarh to Aut is about 230 km by road and my guess at the rate of about 40 km/hour would be about 6 hours.

Aut to Manali is 68 km (about an hour and a half by road).

No dear sir, buses dont run that way in Himachal. It takes 6-8 hours to reach Sundernagar. Aut is another 70km from here. So 6 is nearly impossible in bus

I agree with you Tarun.

My estimate of covering 40 km/hour in hilly Himanchal roads is too optimistic for public buses and I think an average of around 30 km/hour is more realistic and your estimate of 8-10 hours from Chandigarh to AUT is good
