I am not too familiar with Kolkata geography. I need your help. Yes, I searched other threads of the forum. But couldn't get what I was looking for.

I am on a very short trip to the city in the last week of March. I will be arriving in the day time. I will be staying either at Chowringhee or in Sudder st. Are these two places accessible from Metro? (Sorry if this is dumb).

If so, what is the best way to get into DumDum Metro from Domestic arrival (Walking / Bus?). I am determined to avoid taxies. What are other public transport options?

Dumdum Airport is not connected with Metro Railway as yet. To avail Metro you have to take bus / auto to go to Dumdum Metro Station. It is not a walkable distance. You have to get down at Esplanade Metro Station to reach Sudder St. area. Another alternative is take any bus /Mini bus to Esplanade from Airport. There are quite a lot.
