If you take a car on daily basis, you have to pay for minimum 730 kms. Better to have car for 3 nights (4 days)/800 kms. An AC Ambassador car would costs Rs 7000 / 4 days including driver's night halt.

Thumbs up

Definately better to hire a car for the 3/4 days you need, apart from convenience our experience was that our driver was a brilliant guide and helped us with everything even on days when we did not go anywhere he was constantly available for assistance. ( see my thread 'Our Kerala holiday experience' Hope you have a great trip, very jealous!!
