I have taken holiday from the 9th Dec (friday)- to 18th Dec (Sunday) and I wish to see some parts of Kerala. iv'e to spend the ending weekend in Bangalore so was thinking of only doing places like Idduki, Munnar, Kodai and maybe work my way to Thalassery, Kannur and then get to Bangalore. I'd like to fly into Kochi and fly out of Bangalore. So would like to know what would be the best travel plan and how exactly will I be able to get from one place to another and what all can I see. Places to stay would be a great plus
I don't want to do touristy things and would be on a shoe string budget. Basically want to chill, see nature eat and drink.

At the minimal you could replace Kannur, Thalaserry(Not sure , What's the attraction here ?) with some other " better" places .I had been to all of these places and my view based on your travel dates:: Kodaikanal will be "uncomfortably cold" and much of the tourist attractions will be covered in mist , Kannur as such has "beaches" (you will love "Muzzhapilanhgad beach near kannur if you are in Car as it's the only "Drive in beach" in south india" ) and "valiyaparamba backwaters" (Not so great when compared to "Alleppey") .

You may opt for "Bekal" (Near kasaragod) as the fort / beach will be too good (if you are interested in North kerala) . Also "Wayanad" might be a worthy addition.

You are travelling on the "Most Touristy" season of Kerala and hence everything will be more costly (Stay / Cab etc).
