Queries Regarding my Munnar Trip

Though i had researched all info and planned still i have few queries and if anyone can throw some light on same would be greatly appreciated.


I will be reching Cochin Airport on 22nd Dec,2018 Morning 6AM
Planning to take taxi to Munnar via Athirapilly waterfalls then remaining day free for leisure at Munnar.

23rd - Full Day Munnar Tour
24th - Full Day Munnar Tour
25th - Early Morning Leave from Munnar for Lulu Mall then visit Marine Drive, Fort Kochi ( if time permits) Catch return flight at 8PM so planning to reach airport at around 6-6:30PM


Queries -

1. Can i book taxi to munnar via athirapilly from prepaid taxi counter at airport ? How costly it will be? Ola/Uber support this kind of arrangement there ? Will it be safe to leave luggage in taxi while we tour the waterfalls ? If we exit the airport then chances of getting a reliable taxi person who take us on this tour at reasonable cost ?


2. Are 2 days enough to cover all major places at Munnar ? Booking a cab or Auto for touring which one would be advisable ? Any places which i can exclude.

3. On return day are there any interesting places to cover in kochi apart from what i have mentioned or planned to cover ?

4. I read on forums that Lulu Mall basement has facility to store luggage for passengers is it true ? As i rely on same to visit there with all my luggage.

5. Will it be better to book complete taxi for this entire tour at airport counter or elsewhere and how much would it charge ?

You have queries, which I or someone else will reply to soon (hopefully).

A couple of observations though -
1. On day 1 - you could also visit the elephant camp before moving on to Munnar.
2. On the last day - you could plan for Lulu mall at the end of the trip - is on the way to the airport.
3. 2 days are good for Munnar sightseeing.
4. Often it makes sense to book a taxi for the entire journey - have the freedom to travel as per your choice and don't have to wait for different vehicles to arrive at each departure. However do note that different travel agencies have different rules and norms regarding the travel time, extra charges and km per day. Be clear about it before confirming.
