Bit of a long shot, this question, but hopefully some of you guys may have some info

We are travelling To Kerala for 4 weeks this March. Arriving into Kotchi and departing fron Trivandrum

We have found on the keralatourism.org website about the Pooram at Sree Chinakkathoor Bhagavathy Temple, Palappuram which takes place on 10th March.

Pooram Info

However there is very little other info available

The only hotel we could find with an email address was the Hotel Aramana in Ottappalam Hotel Aramana. I have sent several emails to them but had no reply.

Do any of you guys know of other accommodation in this area, that we could try and book in advance, or even if it's possible to just roll up and find somewhere to stay the day before.

Don't want to travel all that way only to find the town is fully booked out for the festival.

Also does anyone know if non hindus are allowed into the temple.

Thanks and fingers crossed

Hotel Aramana seems to be a good hotel. I could reserve it for you. Send me private message.

Thanks for the offer.

I have tried to pm you but get a message "Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page"

Maybe I'm doing something wrong

Anyway maybe you could pm me or give me some info here

EDIT: As I'm reading all the older threads, I have just come across this info - "New members do not have the PM (Private Messaging) function yet, neither to send nor receive. It takes a certain nr. of posts + period of membership"

So Sanjai - you will not be able to pm me

Hello, I have phoned them +91 466 2244412, +91 466 2245250 and blocked a room on 9th. Costs Rs 750 roughly. Their email address is correct. Perhaps, they would respond to your mail.

Hi Sanjai

Thank you so much for your kind reply and help with this hotel. Sadly I had to go to bed after I read your post and today you have (possibly wisely) edited out your email address.

First we want to know that the pooram is definitely March 10th, so maybe someone at the hotel could confirm this?

If it is March 10th, then what we are looking for is a double room with A/C for 2 nights, 9th and 10th of March. Booked in the name Mr G Kelly.

My email is kedgeman69 at yahoo.com (I will leave this here for 2 days, before editing it out)
