Help and advice needed please, what is best way of managing finances out in and around Kerala. This question is aimed more about where to obtain best exchange rates i.e banks /post office or stores ect or to use plastic .Went to Goa about 11 yrs ago but cant remember what we did there. Thanks Ian b.

A local person would be the best to answer this for you. However, there are certain places you should avoid changing your money as you are unlikely to get good exchange rates.

Airports, hotels and banks are the stingiest. On the other hand, you could get a bargain at certain shops in downtown Kochi.

Use ATMs. Except if you are one of the few very anally retentative individuals who will waste literally hours to gain $1 in an exchange transaction!
