I am travelling in Kerala right now, and I am wondering which hill station should I choose.

I like the small villages, not so crowded, with not so many tourists.

I had a great experience two years ago in Sikkim, staying some days in Yuksom and Kechupalri Lake... I would like to repeat this experience but in Kerala. Is that possible ? I mean, I understand the geography is pretty different, but I am talking about the small village thing, with few travellers, etc.

I have many days, so maybe I can visit more than one hill station.

I would appreciate your help !

Would you trip depend on the hill station that we suggest or should the hill station be around the places that you will be visiting?

Well, I am in kanyakumari right now, and I have to finish my journey in kochi, so, maybe it would be better to receive recommendations of not very northern hill stations !

Thanks a lot !!

Most of the hill stations in Kerala are in Idukki and Wayanad.

The Road journey between Kumily(periyar)and Munnar is pretty good, quite spectacular in fact.

There is also a place called Marayoor north of Munnar which is also nice.

The two we have experience of are Munnar and Ooty. Both are worth a visit, although Ooty is probably more spectacular, and they have the extras of beautiful Botanical Gardens, and, of course, the narrow gauge train. You can either use it to get there, or go by road - incredibly beautiful if you come from the north, and take the train down to Coonoor, and a taxi back. If you get the chance the other thing to see in Ooty is the Savoy Hotel - a real remnant of the Raj!

Our Munnar pics are on http://www.pbase.com/brian99/root I haven't got round to posting the Ooty ones yet, I'll try this weekend.
