Could anyone provide feedback on the cottages provided by SPORTS in Minicoy. Any pics would be great.

Thanks,
Gautam

Hi gautam, Hopefully our resident Expert on Lakshadweep,
CliveG will respond to your Query before too long.

Pretty sure Clive is currently travelling around Sth India at the moment, I know he has been logging in on regular occasions so standby.

Vandy -I am honoured by your faith in me! Sadly I have not been to Minicoy as it is only in the last few years that it has been open to non-Indians. Also it is a long trip to Minicoy and I preferred to spend more time on the islands scuba diving than sitting on the ferries.
Yep currently in Cochin and travelling around until the end of February!

Overnight on 1 island

Hi CliveG; I have now been read a few of your posts on Lakshadweep & would like to say that I'm a wee bit jealous of the amount of time you spend roaming!

But jokes apart, I am planning my honeymoon in Jan'15 to Kerala & want to top it off with a trip to Lakshadweep. Have done my basic research & know how SPORTS practically operates everything. I am basically wanting to spend about 2-3 days & 1-2 nights on an island with good beach as a part of honeymoon.

All trips I found are either spending the night on the ship (no issues with that though, but love to have a stroll on beach in moonlight... isnt it just so romantic!) or a 5/7 day single island trip. My concern is are there enough activities to be done on a single island to keep us engaged for a week? If not, then is there a way I can do the cruise trip for 2-3 islands & choose to stay back on the last island (preferably Minicoy) for a couple of days extra? I don't mind loosing the money for the ship that would sail if I get an accomodation (upto abt 8000/night/double bed) & also return to mainland (can't afford catamaran to agatti & flight... looking to directly get to mainland by ship or boat).

Sorry if the question seems lousy but would appreciate your help!
