Charter Flights from UK to Kerala

there used to be charter flights from the UK to Trivandrum with package holidaymakers going to Kovalum and Varkala.
does anyone know if these still run and if so how to get cheap tickets?

Dan, as far as I'm aware, there are no more charter flights to Trivandrum.

I spoke to a few 'in the know' people about 6 weeks ago, and they said that one of the charter companies (Thomas Cook) were planning to start charter flights again, but personally, I'd avoid Thomas Cook, their finances are awful, I think their shares have lost 90% in the last year.

Emerates offer reasonable prices, great connectivity and fantastic service, try searching Manchester to Trivandrum using Carlton Leisure. (use prices as a guide, they have a zero refund rule)

thanks for your quick response as ever.
thank you Steve

What is a good cheap travel agncy in London for Indian travel Steven? I have a hankering for some Shepherds Pie on the way to India after seeing some low rates out of LON..

I used to get good deals from Southall Travel, they'd always match any prices I found on the net, but it's been a few years since I used them.

STA travel are doing a promotion where they will match any other quote for scheduled fares-and at the moment are giving a £50 voucher off future bookins-cannot be done online though-has to be in the shop or possibly by phone.

I always use Southhall Travel. You can easily book on line or call. Their prices are generally cheaper than booking directly with the airline. As Steve said Emirates offer good rates and their service and planes excellent.

Try thewisermiser, Benz or some bonded/reputable ethnic TAs. There is opodo, and then there is netflights.

The key to unpublished fare(s) is to find a brick-n-mortar agency that has access to airline's net fare. They are called consolidators in the US. Those agencies in the US are barred by T&C of the airlines to sell to consumers directly. In the UK they sell to "bucket shops"

I miss those charter flights.
Used them back in 2006 & 2007 with Thomas Cook, definately not as comfortable as Emitates, but non stop from Gatwick to Trivandrum, for a great price.
I have looked and looked since then, but not found any.
