I am from Mumbai - would be visting Bangalore/Mysore/Ooty in May for 9 days.
Following is my travel plan:
DAY 1 :
I would reach Bangalore Airport around 8.30 am + 1/2 day Bangalore sightseeing (10am - 2pm) covering Tipu's Palace, Bull Temple, Lalbagh, Ulsoor Lake, Cauvery handicrafts emporium, Vidhana Soudha + Proceed to Mysore by cab + Overnight stay at Mysore.

DAY 2 :
Visit Mysore Palace, Jaganmohan Palace, Zoo, Chamundi Hill, Museum, Brindavan Gardens + Overnight stay at Mysore.

DAY 3 :
Visit Srirangpatna(Golkumbaaz,Tippu Summer Palace, Sangam, Nimishamba temple) + Visit Nagarhole National Park(3pm to 5:30pm) + Overnight stay at Mysore.

DAY 4 :
Visit Hassan, Halebid and Belur temples, Shravanabelagola + Overnight stay at Mysore.

DAY 5 :
Visit Bandipur National Park(6:30 AM to 9:00 AM) + Proceed to Ooty + Overnight stay at Ooty.

DAY 6,7,8,9 : In Ooty

Ideally, I would love to travel by cab but I think it would very expensive option.

1> DAY1: Where can I board AC bus from Bangalore to Mysore after 2pm ?? How long it takes ?? What is the fare ??
2> DAY2: Where can I get AC bus for Mysore sightseeing ?? What is the fare ??
3> Can I get a Delux bus for my trips on DAY3,DAY4,DAY5 ?? What is the fare ??

Please help me out.
Thanks in advance.

Bangalore Mysore buses are run by the state transport corporation and can be boarded from Majestic. In my opinion, 2 days for mysore-srirangapatnam is too much. Srirangapatnam is only 15 odd kms from mysore.

Also, 1 day is too less to do a mysore-halebeedu-belur-shravanabelagola-mysore. Instead do an overnight at hassan after seeing halabeedu belur, in the same day you see srirangapatnam.

Keep in mind shravanabelagola will drain your energy if you havent seen a gym of late. ;-)

Day 1 = Arriving at 8.30 am in the airport and covering all these places plus travelling to mysore is going to be a little tight with this kind of traffic, instead you can travel the next to mysore.
Day 2 = you can visit the places minus nagarhole and stay in mysore.

KSTDC (Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation - govt organization) organises Bangalore day trip and one day Mysore package in Volvo bus. They are very comfortable and will cover all the important places in Mysore in a day. If you like the way Mysore tour is organised, then you can opt to see other places using the other packages.

1. Good buses between Bangalore and Mysore are available all the time.
2. Srirangapattna is very closeby. Instead of hiring a cab for the whole day, you can get to the place and hire a rickshaw to show you around.
3. Nagarahole National Park requires a cab. It is nearly 2 hours away, and there are no buses. I would also suggest giving it more time. It will be draining to see Srirangapattna and Nagarahole in a day.
4. You get local buses(limited stop buses with normal seats) in the day to get to Bandipur and further to Ooty. No luxury buses during the day. Direct buses to Ooty in the night are the only luxury buses that ply on the road.
5. Local sightseeing in Mysore is also possible by auto-rickshaw.

A very rushed tour. Happy travels.

Agreed with the above. Mysore is not very big. You can easily travel everywhere by rickshaw or even horse pulled cart. The palace and hotels are easily walkable from the bus stand.

Though I admit to feeling rather pokey and slow! We did Chamundi hill in half a day, and the palace tour the other half. But I like to explore more casually.

Bangalore's hardly worth seeing. Cauvery is nice, but there are good shops in Mysore, too, with similar stuff. Lalbagh is a good place to go wander, but not so much to "drop by" if you don't have time to enjoy it. You can drive by the Vidhana, etc., on the way to Majestic. Have lunch and then head to Mysore.

there are good volvo buses leaving bangalore for mysore all the time. just ask a rickshaw driver in Bangalore for the bus station for mysore.

bangalore isnt much to see but mysore has good markets and chamundi hill, and the palace that lights up on sunday nights. i like mysore better because its smaller and easier to walk around
