The largest Tibetan settlement is at Bylakuppe in Coorg District, near Kushalnagar.

After entering the place you feel like , coming to the tibet.
Inside the atmosphere is very pleasent and silent. There are three beautiful temples of Buddha , called as Goldern temple.

Situated – Coorg District
Distance – 218 Km from Bangalore; 110 Km from Mysore; 30 Km from Madikeri; 5 Km form Kushalnagar
Transport – Well-connected road leads up to the Monastary.
Facilities – Restaurants, Home stays, Hotels, Resorts etc.,
Timings – 7:00 a.m – 8:00 p.m

A must see place
We visited this place during our recent visit to coorg... really nice and calm place .... we had our own Qualis so travelling was not a problem... there is one restaurent just inside the main gate.. we had noodles and Momo's there... they were excellent...

There is a similar place in chattisgarh - mainpat, about 45 km from ambikapur. You all would be surprise to know about the beauty of this place. And more over this a very litte known fact there about 100 tibetian families staying here. This palce is like dharamshala (shimla) of chattisgarh

yup this is a must visit place , i love it too the food there is yumm ..

one of the most pleasant places in Coorg i must say.. bylkoppa monastery and and the surroundings is very peaceful and makes u feel you are in a foreign environment.. the weather, culture, people totally different from other places in coorg..
