Hi,

I will be going to India in May for up to 3 months. I was thinking of going to Mysore, but my friend who is in India now has advised against it due to the heat. I am therefore in May going up north to meet with him.

I would really love to go to Mysore though, and I am considering going there in June and July.

Can any one share some insight on how the weather will be like, will it be tolerable in June/July?

Yes, Once Monsoon Sets in Kerala / Coorg [ Which ideally should set by June 1st] , Mysore will have a Plesant Weather !

June / July will ideally be Pleasant . No Worries.

There was More Dryer Summer this year in mysore with Day time Highs Reaching 37 Degree Celcius but for past 7 days or so, it is back to 34 Max with Late evenings to Nights Cool But bit humid than normal.

Thanks Velu!

I was a bit worried it would be to hot or to wet, as long as there is no excessive flooding I am not to worried. Sounds like I can expect decent weather.

Looking forward to visiting Mysore.

yes, decent weather in regards to heat, but it will be during monsoon. flooding is not really a problem, but be prepared for it to be wet.

I'm going to Mysore this Saturday and will be there the whole day. I'm guessing that its pretty hot right now considering the weather is hot in Bangalore too. June might be a good time if it starts raining. I'll update this post after Saturday!

Good to hear that the nights are pleasant! Unfortunately for me I'll only be there from 8 till 6 or 7 in the evening, won't be staying over this weekend as I have to rush back to Bangalore. Where are you located in Mysore? I'm hoping to do some birding this Saturday at Karangi.
