Planning a trip to Dudhsagar... I have been through some older threads but still have a few doubts,

1. Is July a good time?
2. In some blog it is mentioned that a very hefty some has to be paid to get permit for a professional camera... Now I have a DSLR Nikon D5000 which is not really pro, but much bigger than small digicams... Will the authorities create an issue about it?

3. What is the best way to reach it from Bangalore? I am thinking of going to Castle Rock from Bangalore. Is that a good idea? Is it possible to trek from there?

4. Is one day enough for the same?

5. In case it is needed, what are the accommodation options? Can one stay near the falls area or has to come back?

They charged me Rs. 300 for Canon DSLR 50D. They asked me if I had a still camera or a video equipment because I had the camera gear inside my backpack. Tripod also was in its bag. I think by "professional camera" they mean commercial video. Try not to show off the gear

I didn't have any problem but, look for other replies for confirmation.
