We 3 senior citizens are planning a trip from Mumbai to visit Jodhpur, Pushkar, jaisalmer kumbhalgarh, udaipur.

Tentative schedule :

1. 2nd Nov 2014 Depart Mumbai to Jodhpur by Air Jodhpur Sight seeing Jodhpur Stay to be arranged

2. 3rd Nov 2014 Jodhpur Sight Seeing Jodhpur Stay to be arranged

3. 4th Nov 2014 Depart Jodhpur for Pushkar, Pushkar Sight seeing Pushkar Stay to be arranged

4. 5th Nov 2014 Pushkar / Ajmere Sight seeing Pushkar Stay to be arranged

5. 6th Nov 2014 Depart Pushkar for Jaisalmer Tour places of interest enroute Stay at Jaisalmer Club Mahindra

6. 7th & 8th Nov 2014 Jaisalmer Sight seeing Stay at Jaisalmer Club Mahindra

7. 9th Nov 2014 Depart Jaisalmer for Kumbhalgarh Tour places of interest enroute Stay Kumbhalgarh Club Mahindra

6. 10th & 11th Nov'14 Kumbhalgarh Sight seeing Stay Kumbhalgarh Club Mahindra.

Could some one advise : 1. Best transport mode, Jodhpur to pushkar, Pushkar Jaisalmer, Jaisalmer to Kumbhalagarh, to Udaipur >>
Place to stay at Jodhpur and Pushkar.

Any suggested changes in itenary.

I think there's some backtracking here. I'd fly into Jaipur and head to Pushkar/Ajmer. Then to Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Ranakpur, Kumbhalgarh, Udaipur. I'd also take a day from Kumbhalgarh and add it to Udaipur.

How did you decide the sequence of places to see? Too much criss crossing.

Mumbai - Ajmer - Jodhpur - Jaisalmer - Jodhpur - Udaipur seems to be a good route.

That is an insane amount of time to spend in the train. Not for me at all! India has great low-cost airlines....

i understand you point, but... when you travel by train, you ccan see lot of "india faces" .
It was amazing experience for me, 22 hrs at the sleeper class. you never get it in airplane. India train travel is kind of adventure
