Hi did Osyan temples on the road from Jaisalmer to Pushkar. I guess it is not far from Jodhpur so could be done from Jodhpur to Jaisalmer...Osyan temples do not take much time. For the rest did not do as such real classical sight seeing in Jaisalmer so could not be of big help...Wish u to get some more infos. Best.

I wish u a real nice trip...in fact got through my photos and did so beautiful photos in the Thar Desert and also from jain temples, from Jaisalmer, that amazingly seems as I had a real great time there. Go to see the inside of Natchana Haveli if u can and sometimes they have at night rajahstani musicians and kalbelya dancers. There should be in different places. And I stayed in an hotel inside the fort and just loved it...The sunset in the desert is a beauty...and the kalbelyas dancers overthere...if interested u might ask to go to a village of kalbelyas people, so called gypsys by themselves and by Indian people. People who according to what they told me, dance, and dance always, all the family dances and those who do not, play music...Enjoy your India. Everyone finds its own India...And whatever you will see, it will be a beauty...and a learning...and if u see less, it means u would just see what u was supposed to see...Right time, right place. No rush in India...And if u like it u will come back...sooner or later.

Osyan is nice, while I guess other temples might be of even greater values...and sometimes temples less turisty...The jain temples in Jaisalmer are really to be seen...

All the best.

And if u can see Ranakpur...

Hey,

Day 1: You can visit fort as well as Jaswant Thada (which is very nearby to fort).
Day 2: umed bhawan and Mandore garden, temples..etc..
Osian is near to Jodhpur(around 70 kms).
You can visit Pokran on the route.

For staying in Jaisalmer, you can stay either in the city or at desert itself(sam and khuri) recommended to stay at sam or khuri.

Sam is more commercialized.
In the daytime, you can visit the city covering forts and havellis.
In the evening, return to your hotel at sam/ khuri and go for camel ride for sunset which is followed by cultural program.

If you want, you can opt for sleeping in the desert itself. Some of the hotels and resorts provide that option. Or either go for tent accommodation.

For sam you can search for Sam Dhani operated by state govt. But it is in Sam.
You can search for resorts at khuri.

Cost depends upon what type of hotels or resorts are you looking for?

Rohit
