Only pics (without any caption) and that too in FB! What about some narration in the form of Trip Report in the true IM tradition?

As regards Rajgir, what kind of info you need? Have you scanned a few threads on Rajgir in Bihar/Jharkhand Forum?

@Asish das
yap I will do that as soon as I get some time in the weekend.

as for rajgir tours, I have gone through some threads.
I would like to know which route would be convenient-via Gaya or via Bakhtiyarpur?
Is third week of December (20-25) a convenient time or would it be too crowded?
Is it possible to go for a jungle safari at saranda forest from rajgir? (It is oke for me to increase the tour timing)
And any contact of car.

It will be convenient for the travelers from Kolkata to reach Rajgir via Bakhtiarpur. Incidentally, there are two direct options from Howrah. One is Rajgir Passenger (53043) which leaves Howrah at 11.10 hours and reaches Rajgir at 10.55 hours next day. Another is Janta Exp (13039) which leaves Howrah at 20.20 hours and reaches Rajgir at 12.10 hours. Other options are: catch any Delhi bound trains via Patna (which stops at Bakhtiarpur), get down at Bakhtiarpur and then take a cab or an Auto to reach Rajgir. Danapur Exp will be very convenient in case of last option. From Rajgirh you can cover Nalanda, Bodh Gaya and Gaya and return back from Gaya to Kolkata.

It will not be possible to take a safari in Saranda forest from Rajgir. A very nice trip report I had seen here. It is a report of a trip recently undertaken. You may like to check this. Thanks.

Dear abhishek1985 and asishdas,

I would suggest to take the Rajgir related discussion in a fresh thread in Jharkhand state forum, which would be a natural place for this. We can easily find out valuable information on Rajgir tour from there after landing on IM.

Yes, correct. Can I request Mods to transfer this discussion to Jharkhand forum please?
