I didn't realize Chakulia even had an airfield. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chakulia_Airport

There are any number of abandoned WWII military airfields in Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal. The present airport at Ranchi is built on the site of one of these airfileds. There's Panagarh too. There was one on the road from Dhanbad to Purulia but I don't remember the name. There was a large abandoned US military supply base there too. The buildings were pulled down sometime in the 1960s.
