Reach Katra by around 6 to 6:30 pm
Collect Yatra Parchi near bus stand
Rest / Food / Hault for an hour in Katra. I haven't heard of any cloak rooms in Katra, but I'm assuming there would be. I never used it though.
Start Ascending by around 8 pm
Reach Adhkuwari by around 10 or 11 (depending on your speed. I suggest first go to Bhawan via Himkoti route which you would be able to reach by around 12 or 1 am depending on your speed)
Take bath at bhawan.
Keep your baggage in the cloak room(official shrine board). There are a couple of them and always queued. There won't be much of a rush at this time I assume.
Darshan
Collect bag from cloak room
Ascend to Bhairo Nath. Start by around 4 am if you don't want to rest at Bhawan. Depending on your speed again (I usually trek to Bhawan from Katra in 3 hours, but some might take even 6 to 7 hours)
Reach Bhairo Nath in 1.5 to 2 hours. Will take you not more than half an hour there. There aren't cloak rooms at bhairo and I usually keep my bag and shoes asking some family to take care till I'm back. I take my mobile and wallet along.
You don't need to come back the same route you ascended from and you start descending from Bhairo Ghati from the other route which meets Sanjhi Chhat. Going further you reach Adhkuwari. and from there onwards to Katra back.
You should reach back Katra by around noon.
You can get a bus from Katra or shared jeep to Shiv Khori easily and it is doable in a single day
Stay overnight Katra
Leave Jammu next morning. Local sightseeing (raghunath Mandir / Ranbireshwar / Bagh e bahu etc). Catch your train back at 9 pm from Jammu

Hey. Thank you dude.

Your idea seems very good.

However. What u think abt following changes. .

See I dont know if I can take bath at Katra but my friends what they did is they kept their luggage in hotel room. took bath. And went to take darshan. Is it proper. Or bath at Bhavan is compulsory.

2nd.. friend suggested to come back by same route after bheronath. As monkey issue is ther and I m .alone. and dont want to risk my luggage. So I.am thinking of keeping luggage in Bhavan then take matas darshan then go to bheronath and while coming back take my luggage and go to ardkauri.

3rd. U suggested to see adhkuari while coming back. So do i have to again keep my luggage in clock room in ardhkuari or how it is.

Mod Note: You have been warned. Please do not post with Chat speak. No "u" instead of "you" and "abt" in place of "about". Thank You.

If you're staying overnight at Katra and booking a room there.... Yes you can take a shower and keep your luggage at the Hotel and take with you only what you need along. There is nothing compulsary to take a bath at Bhawan, however, trekking up around 14 kms, it makes you sweat although its cold plus makes you a bit tired. If I were you, I would want to take a shower before I go for Darshan and that's how it should be. Even at your home you always worship after taking a bath, right. If you want, You can make bookings in some dormitory or a room which can be done online here ....

Nothing to be worried of monkeys coming down from other route at Bhairo Ghati....... You would not be walking alone. Moreover at that time in early morning, I don't think you would see any. Monkeys are more interested in eatables you carry. Secondly, it won't be much of a luggage you're going to carry. Just one pair of clothes, woollens and prasad, shoes etc. In case you want to go back to Bhawan from bhairo, you would not be able to reach Katra by noon, considering you also going to Adhkuwari.

Yes, there are cloak rooms at Adhkuwari and you would need to deposit your bag there.

Yes, you may start in evening, but it would be better if you start after taking bath. The provisions are there at Jammu Tawi Railway Station and Katra Bus Stand. You will feel fresh while trekking.

Theoretically it is possible. But you would need some rest as you are from plain.
Quote:
If wish to take rest my plan to do so at Bhawan itself after having darshan.
You may take rest at Raen Basera (which is available free of cost) as all the spaces to be hired are full on the day you are traveling

You should enquire about the availability of buses from Katra Bus Stand as soon as you reach there from Jammu (so that you can make your plan). You should start for Shiv Khori from Katra in the morning. There are buses from Shiv Khori to Jammu also. So you may enquire about the same after reaching Shiv Khori.

Yes, you can do it easily.

There are official cloakrooms available at Katra near the Yatra Parchi Counter Room.

You may require some woolens for the night and the morning also which you will be spending in mountains. So, a small bag would be a good idea.

You may take parchi at Adhkuwari and proceed for darshan at Bhawan if there is rush at Adhkuwari. And have darshan while returning.

Yes, cloakrooms are available at al the places.

@wsminkapila is correct. Generally monkeys don't disturb the yatries.

Thermocot dress would minimize your luggage size.

Agree with Prakaant. If possible, do carry a light weight raincoat, or buy one from there for 10-20 rs. You can't be sure of rains in the hills.

For 10 rs you get a Big Polybag aka raincoat what I meant to cover yourself (The ones you get in Matheran if you've been there since you're from Thane) so that you don't get soaked.... That's only in case you don't want to carry one in your luggage.
