by Kashmir in your post above, I presume you mean Srinagar? if that is the case, then there are quite a few places you can see... foor more details you can check in the Kashmir forums. A few of the standard places I can list out below :

1. Pari Mahal.
2. Shankaracharya
3. Dal lake boating
4. Shalimar Bagh
5. Nishat Bagh
6. Rosabal
7. Hazratbal
8. Jama Masjid and old Srinagar.
9. Wular Lake.

Gulmarg town is pretty small and you can easily walk around all through it. Some places to visit -

1. Gondola stage 1 and 2
2. Golf course.
3. The famous Shankar temple. (Rajesh Khanna movie)
4. On top of a hill (I do not recollect the name, my apologies!) is the old abandoned palace of the last Raja of the region.

In general, Gulmarg has really beautiful walks with lovely vistas of the plains below.

Pahalgam is my favourite place to go to. The town itself is spectacular with the Lidder river flowing thorugh and dense pine forests all around.

There are many places you can go to from here and osme very very interesting treks. There are many lovely valleys and meadows around the town, and in fact when you get into town, you will find them listed along with pony rates written on boards along the street. Points like Aru and Betaab valley are the most popular. In shhort if you like trekking, you will have a wonderful time
Some of my ramblings!
