Hi Friends,

I have planned a tour for vaishnodevi and other places as per following information: Reservation in train from Indore to Amritsar and reaching there at 6.00 PM on 01.10.2014, Return ticket from Jammu to Indore on 8.10.2014 morning 8.00 AM. I want to cover Amritsar, Wagha Border, Vaishno Devi, Jwala Devi and Patnitop or Dalhousie. Is it possible in these 7 days. Kindly help me in preparing a date wise itinerary as per above details. Any suggestions in this regard are hearty requested. Also suggest me the modes of conveyances on these places.

Thanks in advance....

Yes, it's possible to cover all the places but please remember you will be facing crowded Vaishno Devi trip due to Navratri. A long weekend will also be adding the crowd.

You should book a cab after darshan of Vaishno Devi to do your trip. We may refine your itineraries, if you come up with one.

Hi Prakaant,
Thank you very much for this prompt reply.

The rough itinerary for my trip is as follows:

1. Day 1 - Reach Amritsar, Stay @ Amritsar
2. Day 2 - Amritsar & Wagha Sightseeing and in evening take train/Bus and reach Pathankot and Night stay @ Pathankot
3. Day 3 - leave for Jwala Devi, have darshan and in evening back to Pathankot and then Katra and stay @ Katra
4. Day 4 - Early morning start for Shri Vaishno devi and late evening back to Katra (To and Fro by Pony)
5. Day 5 - Stay @ KAtra
6. Day 6 - At morning leave for Patnitop and stay @ Patnitop or return to Jammu and stay @ Jammu
7. Day 7 - Jammu Sightseeing and stay @ Jammu
8. Day 8 - At morning 9.00 AM Leave for Indore

This is a rough idea by me and need a refinement and suggestion from you to make a perfect and viable plan.

Thanks.

Okay, your trip is very relaxed and you'll enjoy it.

If wished you may do: Pathankot to Chamunda to Kangra to Chintpurni to Jwala Mukhi to Pathankot before reaching Jammu and Katra.

Why not cover kangra and chitpurni devi along with jwala devi. My suggestion is to go for khajjar instead of patnitop. By this you can cover dharmshala and Dalhousie also
