Hi all,
Seeking some advice - I am a UK citizen visiting Northern India in Aug 2016. I was planning to trek part of the Amarnath Yatra route from Baltal via Amarnath to the Goolol Gali Pass, from where I plan to leave the traditional Yatra route and head East over the Ghans La to Panikher in the Suru Valley.
My question is, do I need to register to trek any part of the yatra route? And if so, how do I do that?
Thanks for any help/advice.

Eit/Update - I see that the official yatra ends on 18th August - is it the case that no registartion is required after this date? I was originally planning to start from Baltal on the 15th August, so it might be easier all round to simply push my dates back a bit and start on the 19th or 20th August.
