I agree, the itinerary looks fine. So did you manage to locate a hotel that could accomodate all of your party? I know, 72 people...lol I thought it was a typo in the other thread! Enjoy your trip!

Ms Princess W

it was not typo.

The number as of now is 74, and possible that it will cross 80.

I have got quotation from a travel agent in Jammu.
It's within our budget so will go with him.

Itinerary I have planned from previous exp. of my earlier trip to Kashmir.
so I hope I have made good itinerary.

Amarnath Yatra

My friend and myself had been to Amarnath in 1983, when there were not any hard restrictions and no registration was needed and I still remember the Muslim brothers who helped us and also we were surprised to see that they had firm faith in the Amarnath Deity. We on our part were of opinion that the "Ice Linga" was just a natural formation and there was nothing supernatural about it.We went via Phahalgam and what an interesting journey it was! The Seshnag Lake, Wavgen, Pissutop,Panchatarani, and the Cave and the Ice formation all remain etched in my mind. I look at the old photos and crave for one more visit, but my health is not that good.
So whoever is going there, give us a detailed write up of the present Amarnath Yatra.

is it fix that you have to reach the cave on the date as mentioned on the registration form (which they allot) or they give felxibilty of 2~3 days plus-minus to reach at the cave from the date alloted

Dear Mountain Lover

registration is like a formality, as it might be possible that no one will check your registration.

SO don't worry about registration, and proceed with your dates.
But it's always better to be a registered Yatri.
