Define 'best' and 'most important'. One man's meat ... etc.

Tourist must see - this post will help : http://www.indiamike.com/india/jaipu...4/#post1423446. Local make jewelery is all over the place, really. Try Rajasthali at the end of MI Road and Tharyamal Balchand near Panchbatti so as not to get ripped off. Good luck.

Do you have a budget in mind?

We stayed at the Umaid Bhawan who organised an early morning pick up for us. The Pearl Palace is cheaper, gets great reviews but we have never been able to get a booking there. We have eaten in their restaurant a couple of times and thought that standards were good.

A Great Thing about Jaipur is that the jewelry shops - or representatives thereof - will find you Beware of being drawn and quartered as four different 'representatives' vie for your affection, your limbs . . . and/or rupees
