I live in Jaipur with my husband, both on long term visitors visas. We live in the city and would like to purchase a scooter.
I was looking on the Rajasthan transportation site, and it seems they only deal with residents - is that correct? Would an international license I can purchase online suffice?

If you're on a long-term visa, you are a resident. You'll get a license coterminus with your visa. Address proof is your FRO registration. After all, the police themselves verified it. But carry your rent agreement, just in case.

No idea about international license, but I think the nature of international licenses is that, even if they were valid, it's only for the first two months of your stay in the foreign country, or maybe longer, but cannot be renewed.
