Hello,

Even though we came back in March I am little behind on posting.
We flew into Delhi and spend 2 days in Delhi and when took a Jetairways flight to Jaipur-- Flying was the best thing we did, it saved us time and the hassles of India traffic. Jetairways is an excellent airline.

We were picked up from Jaipur airport from a driver arranged by Mahendra at Jasvilas. We spent 2 days at Jasvilas in Jaipur and had a lovely time!! It is a gorgeous place to stay and excellent friendly service. Mahendra and his son were really helpful in giving us tips on where to sightsee and shop. Also they arranged our driver for us. I wish we had more time to stay at their hotel. I give there hotel and serivce a 5 plus star rating Being a travel agent I highly recommend there guest house in Jaipur.

The Forts and Palaces were great! I went shopping at Pratap and Sons and had a wonderful time! We had lunch at The Trident Hotel on Valentine's Day it was a goregous Hotel. Very good food and service!!

We also visited a Pizza Hut in Jaipur and Delhi. It reminded us of home This was our first time in India. Delhi traffic was crazy!! Jaipur wasn't much better, but that's something one has to get use to when in India. The touts didn't really bother us much as we were always on the go. We went first 2 days in Delhi then flew to Jaipur and back for 2 days and then we headed out to Punjab. We took the Shabadi express to Chandhigar instead of doing it by car and that was the smartest thing we did on this trip. It took us 2 hours as oppose to 4-5 hours of driving. Very comfortable train ride and very reasonable. For 2 of us it cost 900 rupees.

JasVilas??

Hi,

A friend of mine, at University of Florida (Gainesville), went back to Rajasthan to convert his family home into a hotel. He was also going to call it JasVilas (from Jaipur or Udaipur). Just wondering if this place could be his. His name is Ajatshatru (name means the dude has no enemies). Everyone at the university was his enemy .

Gainesville

Hi Shekhar,

Ajatshatru is our elder son. After returning to India he helped us for a while but decided to return to his profession (and use his Mass Comm degree) and joined Discovery in Delhi.

I'll PM you his details.
Lily
