Quitting my job as a journalist for six years and have decided to roll the dice and go to India for about three months. Have never been before but traveled a lot in my early 20s. Really excited about going but unsure where to start bearing in mind climate etc. Haven't booked yet but looking to fly last few days of March. Do I start in the north and head south or vice versa? Start in Mumbai and do a circular loop around the country? So many options so any advice would be really helpful.

Welcome to IM.
Three months is a great amount of time to travel.
