...That's not a reasonable question!

Airfares seem to change every day: people can recommend their favourite sites or agents to you, but, in the end it is down to you to surf/phone/visit and come up with your lowest

Actually that site seems to be for Domestic flights, so not very useful.....

I second makemytrip.com. Easily the cheapest online source I've found other than the hit or miss yahoo travel emails that I get every once in a while.

I've used

http://www.airlineconsolidator.com/ and http://www.weflyhome.com
for both trips to India, from Chicago to Chennai.

last year I used airlineconsolidator.com and this year I used weflyhome.com. weflyhome.com is Lufthansa's cheaper fares, and my ticket this year was cheaper from Lufthansa via this website than it was from the airline consolidator.

I searched for fares from Chicago on makemytrip and they were not any less expensive than what I found at airlineconsolidator.com or weflyhome.com, in fact, they were a lot MORE expensive by at least $200+. of course, that may have been because of when I checked -- airline fares can change by the hour....

All of these websites use the same consolidators, so you're not going to find much difference. Find a human in an travel office to help you find special fare brackets that aren't available online.

And what the hell is this thread doing in the Health and Wellness forum?

My friend searched air-gorilla.com. Their fares are unbelievably high, though taxes are low, vice versa with MakeMyTrip.
But interestingly makemytrip's overall cost is quite low... howz that possible when they're using the same consolidators??!!...

I don't know how you know they're using the same consolidators, but assuming they are, it's due to contracts, revenue control and protection, and the specific flight and routing combinations which lead to the varying fare basis codes.

airfares

There are only two ways..

1. CONTACT a LIVE TRAVEL AGENCT of your trust.

2. Contact the airline directly through website or phone/fax.
