I know I have not been active in a bit; I have strayed away from India, and went to Morocco December '17 and Ethiopia December '18...Ethiopia is GREAT!

Anyways, my girlfriend has a desire to go on a safari. We cant afford Africa, but want to India or Sri Lanka. I know quite a few of the parks are in the north of the country. How do you work around fog issues? On my Northern India trip about 8 years ago, fog caused all kinds of havoc with trains. How do you work around that problem?

Is Assam fog prone? What about the parks in MP?

I know this is a very general question, but is the easiest way to get access the parks (and go on the safari) to book it all through a hotel on the Jungle Plan? I imagine you will want two full days, meaning 2 morning and 2 afternoon, for most of the parks?

Any general suggestions will be appreciated.

I use our family's fog-parting knife. See the kitchen utensils thread. Proper technique is important.
