KS, so you have lot to study in Holi, wish you a happy Holi too. I am still thinking on my future plans and would keep you updated soon.

One interesting thing about internet, they are not only just all pervasive now a days and getting intelligent as well. Since you posted, the video link of MP Tourism ad, in 90% time when I am opening this thread, I can see the below banner. Nice way to impact people.

No doubt this trip report inspired me a lot and I am too keen to visit these places, the writing style of this guy is simply great. You have seen the snaps of Churna and Dhain FRH in the blog and aren't they simply awesome. The best thing that attracts me is that it's not that touristy.

May be as the blog was surprisingly silent on Bori FRH.

Have you been currently in touch with Forest official and is there any hope the road would be open? Or they intentionally closed it to keep only entrance through Madai. As I understand from Blog by taking forest department Jeep (@15 per km) you can cover those 100/150km in 3/4 days to all FRH. If they open Pachmarhi - Churna road, they might not be able to control outside car to enter core area, so if possible get an idea if at all the road would be open in near future. Else we always have an alternative to proceed from Madai to Churna and Dhain and if possible and allowed even till Bori.

Things are pretty interesting to me as well, keep in touch and hope we would be able to make it

So have you got the time Indra to read, haven't found your comment yet But if you haven't, India being in WC final, you have to wait for one more week to squeeze some time out!!

Any plan for MP in near future?

The people who travels from Kolkata might end the trip via Nagpur as the Indigo flight connecting Nagpur Kolkata had a good timing, (5.30pm from Nagpur) would allow you to take even morning safari at Pench and then dinner back home at Kolkata. If you book well in advance, the sector offers a base fare of Rs.1 and that makes this 1.5 hours journey quite affordable too.

Dear kshil,
i have been searching for such an article for a pretty long time as I always longed to tour MP buteverytime I got bogged down as the MP tourism call of the wild tours soar high in terms of price.
you seem to emerge as a farista and Light seems to be round the corner, please bear some silly stupid questions at times but I look forward for your help in chalking out my plan to visit MP parks in Nov 11 within 8 to 9 days.I stay at kolkata and we r a four + one(9 yrs daughter) member team.
A brief sketch with best accomodation ( value for money) will be highly appreciated. If u could also throw some light on the total cost I have to incur would be a great boon.
I apologise for the gross request, I am going through your post minutely too in the mean time.
thanks and regards

Hi Saikat,

I would try my best to answer your queries, no issues, if you go through the first and second post in the thread, you would be getting all sorts of information and contact details. Still if you have any specific question, please ask here, I would try to answer them.

Best value for money accommodations are certainly the Forest RH, MP Tourism hotels are damn costly. Also no point in going in their package trip, it's very easy to plan a trip in MP. First I would suggest the places you intend to cover and then come up with a rough itinerary, then we can fine tune and make it working for sure.

You have chosen a nice time, Nov is having a pleasant weather in MP.

Any further question, keep shooting!!

Have a safe and nice trip.

Yes FRH in Kanha near Khatia gate is extremely good in terms of value for money. Make sure you take the Rs. 600/- one (There are two types, 500 and 600 something like that, take the higher one). They have aircooled room, no Air Condition, but in dry weather of MP, I believe Air Cooler would be sufficient.

I am sure you have a memorable vacation with your family there.
