Hello Rv,

Just returned from the trip. Sultan experience was overall good. In fact, I didnt get much time to spend there coz most of the time we were in Safari. I stayed for a night and had two safari. Fortunately, Tiger movement was good in Dhikala Zone but unfortunately I missed by 5 mins to witness it :-(

Sultan FRH is good, neat & clean (dont expect much), only two separate rooms. Please make sure to take your own ration (include your Jeep Driver & caretaker). THE GOOD PART IS SULTAN FRH HAS ELECTRIC FENCING NOW. You can feel more secure now.

The only thing I was didnt like is you can not do Elephant Safari while staying in Sultan because of time constraint. Rest, everything is good. I will recommend you to stay in Sultan.

If you adore animals, please don't ride elephants.

Hi,

I have one doubt - If I stay at Sultan,

1. do I need to book a separate gypsy for safari within Dhikala range (if yes then how/ where can we arrange for gypsy safari inside Dhikala range)
or
2.the gypsy that we need to take from Ramnagar can be used for gypsy safari too, inside Dhikala? Like can they be booked for the entire 2 Nights 3 days?

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to India mike

You don't need to book any separate Gypsy for safaris in Dhikala Zone. The Gypsy hired at Ramnagar will stay with you inside the forest if you have night stay permits in a FRH . The same Gypsy will be used for doing safaris. Yes, gypsies can be hired for the entire period like 1N/2D or 3N/4D
