Places to stay in Pench National Park
I am planning to visit Pench National Park in the last week of November and will be spending 7-8 full days. Which is the best place to stay at reasonable cost?
From some old thread on here, some have suggested Heavens Garden.
And also how much would it cost per safari? I will be travelling alone. It is reliable to book the safaris directly through the hotel? I prefer to book on non sharing basis.

Pench
Hello,
Between 2007 to 2016, I always stay at Mowgli's Den (single with all meals around 2300 Rs, double around 4600).
Cost for safari : around Rs 5500 to 6000 Rs.
Please tell me your dates in MP, I'll go to India at the same moment.
Regards.

Dates are not fixed but around the 25th or 26th November. In total, it will then cost just under Rs.8000/day. Does this include both morning and evening safaris and all permits?
For single : it will cost around Rs 15000.
For 2 rooms and shared safaris : yes around Rs 8000 per head.
Attention, since 30/06/2017, there are some new taxes in India (GST). I don't check for the moment.
Maybe, I should share some safaris with you if you want. I want to visit Tadoba first, then Pench (it was not sure), then Ranthambore.
I know very well these parks, I went on safaris to India since 2000...
I book all my travels with a Mumbai travel agency (payment with visa, mastercard or american express).
Regards.

Sharing would be a good idea, I will let you know by Mid August-September time when my plan will be finalized. Kipling Court could be another option. Hopefully, they too arrange for safaris.

Kipling Court is really nice, great food and pool, very pretty well run place in a nice location. I also think Pench is one of the prettier parks, lots of variety. If you are not Indian, it is difficult to share with Indian folks (and when I was there, there were not many non-Indians) because the pricing is very different for Indians and non-Indians. But great place and great park!
It might be the best of times or the worst of times...but it's the only time you've got!
Wow, thanks! It's about time...what a hassle it was if you were travelling solo...good to know
1) Safari booking can be done on line (better to book the safari on line - as limited number of jeeps are allowed from each gate). Turia gate is the preferred gate as the number of jeeps allowed are higher and also as most of the resorts are located near Turia gate)

2) Madhya Pradesh Tourism (Govt owned) resort is "Kiplings Court" quite good. There are many resorts near Turia gate. Tiger and Woods / Pench Jungle Camp / Tuli Tiger Corridor / Welcom Heitage Jungle Home / Mowgli's Den / Tribal Camp / United 21 /
3) Please check the distance of the hotel from the safari entrance gate. It can be quite cold in the morning. One should not be wasting time to reach the entrance gate

Are there any budget place to stay at Pench? Kiplings court is quite costly. Budget is around Rs.2000/day for single person.
